BLUESIERS:
Racist propaganda has been popping up in our Indiana communities and we need to come together as a community to denounce white supremacism and denounce these over displays of hate.
I have typed up a form letter below, feel free to copy and paste into an email, include the images, and send to your state senator and representative. If you need to find your legislator and their contact information, follow this link: https://iga.in.gov/information/find-legislators
Dear Senator / Representative _______________:
I am your constituent in Indiana Senate / House District ________. I am writing to express my concern over what appears to be an increase in racist propaganda in our community.
The photos of the Nazi Swastika are proudly displayed as part of a Christmas decoration on a front lawn in Bristol and the “Avoid Deportation” flyer was distributed around the state by a Kentucky of the KKK.
Your constituents come from a variety of religious, racial, and ethnic backgrounds and it is unconscionable that in 2024 our neighbors feel this comfortable to display this kind of symbolism and distribute this kind of propaganda.
There should be nothing “political” about denouncing racism and the ideology of white supremacism and that is what I am writing to request.
Please, via a press release or social media post denounce the hate that is represented by this kind of propaganda and ensure that you will be a representative for all your constituents, regardless of their race or religion.
You can support free speech, but you do not need to support or endorse hate with silence. I look forward to your reply.
Your constituent,
