Indiana Democrats received some very positive information this week. Polling shows the races for governor and attorney general are a tie. Democratic gubernatorial candidate Jennifer McCormick and Democratic candidate for Attorney General Destiny Wells have been traveling all over the state. Their grassroots campaigning efforts seem to be paying off
Hoosier voters are recognizing that twenty years of Republican rule has yielded poor economic, education, health, and environmental outcomes. Republican candidates have nothing to add other than Trumpian talking points and voters are too smart for that. McCormick, Wells, and US Senate candidate Valerie McCray, are not running to the the Democratic governor for Democratic people. They are true public servants, seeking these seats to improve the lives of all Hoosiers.
These numbers should be reassuring to voters in Indiana who have felt alone over the past several elections. Extremists in the Republican party have shut voters out and left people behind. Hoosiers are ready for a change.
